To quote my husband, “You’re not like other girls..”
I was raised in a small town and spent the entire time being asked, “You’re not from here are you?” I spent most of the formative years reading too many books and watching too many movies. I know many trivial facts that only really seem to do me any good winning cookies at coffee houses.
I have lived all over Minnesota and now for the last eleven years I have been in Seattle. Seattle has been very good to me, I have lovely friends, met the man of my dreams, we now we have a beautiful little girl and a ramshackle house we are attempting to make our own.. Our home is filled with books, movies, felines, and dust. I wear too much black that is constantly covered in cat hair, cookie crumbs and sometimes smears of food that I can’t even identify. I’ve learned to face the world and rejoice even when hobbled by a toddler hugging my knees for dear life.
